About Us

In this busy, competitive world with all of it’s busyness, all of its deadlines, and all of its stressors, it is necessary and good to come away to a place of rest, relaxation, and healing.
Situated at the meeting of the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers, nestled at the foot of the Roch deBoule Mountain is the Better Living Centre in the outskirts of the Village of Hazelton. The scenery is breath-taking year-round and the beautiful mountain air, healing and refreshing.
The creation of this wellness centre is the dream of Dr. Lornen Nischuk, chiropractor and his wife Glenda Nischuk, nutritionist.
They are both delighted to have recently located to this beautiful community and developed this centre. They care about your overall health as if you were a member of their own family. Their goal is to do more than just treat symptoms.

      History

In memory of Norma Pearl Senecal

This beautiful 10 acres was first developed by Glenda’s mother, Norma Pearl Senecal. She was attracted by the stunning view of the mountain as well as the areas that she could grow her large organic vegetable gardens and orchards. This beautiful home and it’s landscaping, was the tireless work and ambition of Pearl while in her 70’s! She also spent a great portion of her life caring for various children from the community in her home. Her legacy of giving and caring lives on.
